Inspired by his own experience, helping a family member during cancer treatment, Trevor Sorbie launched his charity My New Hair as a not-for-profit organisation in June 2006. Trevor now dedicates all of his salon time to offering advice, and a wig customisation service, to clients suffering from medical hair loss.

My New Hair is a new charity founded by celebrity hairstylist Trevor Sorbie MBE. The charity supports a national network of independent salons and professionals who provide a wig styling service for people suffering from cancer and medical hair loss. My New Hair is the first UK charity to focus solely on providing education, training, and support for those who suffer medical hair loss and require natural looking wigs. My New Hair works in partnership with the hair industry, the Wigmakers Association, related charitable organisations and in healthcare environments. The charity's focus is to improve the lives of those living with medical hair loss. Toppers joined the My New Hair network in 2008, and now has three certified My New Hair specialist stylists. We understand the sensitivities surrounding medical hair loss and our focus is on making our clients look and feel great during what we know is a vulnerable and traumatic time for them.
